The natural world, and how it evolves, have always held a fascination for me. Finding the right balance between human development and protecting species, habitats and landscapes is the biggest challenge of our time. On leaving university I chose to focus my career on helping to solve this issue, and spent several years working at consultancies primarily centred on sustainability in the domestic and public sectors. In 2010, I was looking for a new challenge and when Ben asked me to join him in owning, growing and leading Avieco I jumped at the chance. I’m hugely proud of what we’ve achieved to date – as a company, with our clients and for our team. There’s still much to do, and I can’t wait to get stuck in.”
As the COO of Avieco, I lead the operations of the company and oversee the work of the team – making sure we meet client expectations and business goals.
I also supervise major client programmes – helping complex, global organisations to better understand, manage and improve their environmental performance, and supporting leaders to build more resilient and efficient organisations that meet the increasing demands from customers and investors alike.
After 15 years in the industry I remain committed to helping organisations realise growth opportunities through sustainability action; I specialise in leading large-scale environmental programmes – spanning both the public and private sectors, and domestic and non-domestic fields.
My recent clients include UK government, the Commonwealth Secretariat, BNP Paribas, the European Investment Bank, Domino’s Pizza Group and Royal Mail.
I have a BSc in Geography and an MSc in Environment and Development from the University of Manchester.
